Another World
Following my move to Italy in 2012 I entered into a period of deep personal reflection. I
considered how my body image and psychology was shaped under the repressive censorship
of Women's right to express their individuality in my Homeland, Iran.
In the past 2 years I have been diagnosed with Immune System Disorder.
I have attempted to rationalize this and incorporate my diagnosis into my work as An Artist. I have considered how the body and previous psychological trauma are linked. In doing this I have visualized the linkage as a world in which the sea is tumultuous, wavy and the 'Terra Firma,' so often fixed and constant, are ready to explode.
Living and working as an Artist in Italy has given me the opportunity to bloom on the tree or simply relax under its refreshing shade.
Put simply, my imagination has been given a new freedom.
